Rare vintage Max Mara 3 piece linen ensemble in mixed patterns and a subdued taupe hue. The skirt has a funky gridded glen plaid variation pattern on a voluminous pleated body with a fitted waistband. The tank is boxy and cropped with ridged shell buttons and functioning welt pockets, all in very tiny grid print. And finally the draped jacket has sizable shoulderpads, wide cropped sleeves, pleats from the collar and huge deep patch pockets in another variation of the grid plaid pattern. Of course they all get along famously, but they can each easily be worn apart as well! Label Max Mara, made in Italy, circa 1980s.

• Good condition, mostly perfect except for an unfortunate spot on the tank and the back of the jacket (both are faint, see in last two pics. both pieces have been dry cleaned). Also the button on the skirt has some chipping.
